With Lake Havasu in its backyard, the city serves as both a playground for the water and desert enthusiast alike, with everything from golf and boating to hiking, hot-air ballooning and jeep tours. And with more than 300 days of sunshine a year and more than 400 miles of lakeside coastline, you’ll likely find yourself more outdoors than in.

You could start with an outing on the green. Lake Havasu has some fantastic golf—with the spectacular backdrop of the mountains and desert—at surprisingly reasonable prices.
