The Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa recently opened in Riviera Nayarit on Mexico’s Pacific Coast with 135 suites, a pool, a workout facility and a dance studio. The boutique resort also features 10 meeting rooms and a grand ballroom that can seat up to 600 people. The resort’s 22,000 square-foot rooftop spa will be completed in early 2011. taheima.com

According to Mexico’s National Institute of Migration, the numbers for international visitors traveling by air to Mexico are increasing. In comparison to 2009, there was a 20.1% increase of American travelers in 2010, with 583,732 visiting the country this year. Both the United States and Canada hold the top two spots with the most visitors, Spain comes in third with 35,893 travelers. That’s a 57.8% increase since 2009. visitmexico.com
