Last week marked the completion of the $50-million expansion of Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The 342-room resort, located 15 minutes from Cancun International Airport, opened 150 new luxury suites, a top-of-the-line 7,500-square-foot convention center and a new spa.
