New Columbus, Ohio, Convention Hotel to Open in Fall

A new Hilton hotel connected to Columbus, Ohio’s convention center is nearing completion and will open in September. The $140 million Hilton Columbus Downtown will feature 532 rooms, 48 suites and about 23,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a 12,000-square-foot ballroom—that’s in addition to the 1.7 million sq. ft. next door at Greater Columbus Convention Center. Crews broke ground on the hotel in July 2010. It is owned by the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority and will be operated by Hilton Worldwide. hilton.com
