US Air to Begin Charging for Priority Services

US Airways has joined competitors American, Delta and United in offering customers the option to pay for the same priority benefits that its elite frequent flyers enjoy. Travelers will be able to select the PreferredAccess upgrade when they check in online. The program gives passengers access to special ticket counter, security and boarding lanes, allowing them to board after first- and business-class passengers and members of the Dividend Miles frequent flyer program. Fees start at $10 per passenger one-way. msnbc.msn.com
