Meeting Planners Help Out

Every Sunday in the San Francisco Chronicle, Christopher Elliott helps out travelers in his “Travel Troubleshooter” column. And this past Sunday, you may be interested to know that he cited meeting planners as a surefire way to help with issues at a hotel.

A woman wrote in and complained about not getting the special rate she was offered as a tradeshow attendee for an event in New York. Elliott, rather wisely advised that the woman should have “enlisted the help of [her] conference organizers to fix this.
