Central Oregon is located in the geographic heart of Oregon, nestled at the sunny, eastern base of the majestic Cascade Mountains.  This outdoor recreation paradise has become a favorite destination for conventions, corporate meetings, reunions, environment and health-oriented groups.
Central Oregon, set in spectacular surroundings between the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range and the sage-scented high desert offers more than 300 days of sunshine annually and has become a favorite destination for corporate meetings, incentives, environment and health oriented conferences, as well as executive getaways.

Known as Oregon’s outdoor recreation capital, the area offers a variety of activities perfect for team building or after-the-meeting amenities.  Mt. Bachelor Ski & Summer Resort, 29 area golf courses, hundreds of miles of hiking and cycling trails, alpine lakes for fishing, canoeing and swimming, whitewater rafting on the Deschutes River, as well as the nation’s first 18-station fly-fishing course, winding along the shores of the Deschutes River in the Old Mill District of Bend make this a natural, outdoor recreation destination paradise.

Central Oregon’s diversity is also reflected in its choice of meeting venues which include a variety of hotels with meeting rooms; the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center which hosts sporting events, concerts and trade shows; the state-of-the-art Riverhouse Conference Center in Bend featuring 30,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space; the green-built FivePine Lodge and Conference Center nestled between the trees in Sisters as well as several luxury golf resorts including Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond and Sunriver Resort, each with three 18-hole championship golf courses and unique flexible meeting space.

For meeting planners looking for a non-traditional venue, the High Desert Museum just south of Bend offers a fun, memorable experience for attendees. This showplace facility incorporates live

animals, a dynamic Birds of Prey exhibit, pioneer presentations, Western and Native American art, streamside exhibits, and walk-through-time dioramas.

Fine dining and tax-free shopping abound in picturesque settings that include the rustic Old West feel of Sisters, the beauty and sophistication of Sunriver, and the charming historic buildings of downtown Bend. A busy cultural calendar includes big name acts at the outdoor Les Schwab Amphitheater, music festivals as well as many special events.

Although Central Oregon is surrounded by forest and high desert, it is easily accessible from the rest of the United States. Roberts Field, the area's regional commercial airport, is located in Redmond, just 16 miles from Bend and serviced with direct flights from Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, Denver (seasonal), Phoenix, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. As for car travel, the Bend - Sunriver area is just three hours from Portland, six hours from Seattle, and eight hours from San Francisco.
