Seasonal events around the world celebrate years’ end

Holidays at the Top of the Mark in San Francisco
San Francisco is always a great choice to spend the holidays, especially if you prefer cold to snow.
On Dec. 2 and 3, 9 and 10, 16 and 17, and 23, InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco will be hosting Magical Christmas Tea events at Top of the Mark, the property’s bar and restaurant. Activities will include cookie decorating, balloon art with Raul the Master Balloonatic and face painting with Skip the Snow Queen. Santa will also be in attendance for photos and the Lowell High School Choir will be performing.
The event festivities will continue on Christmas Eve with festive music and a grand buffet that includes Honey Mustard Biscuit and Garlic Slow Roasted Agnus Prime Rib, along with local fresh seafood. More information on the holiday activities can be found here.

12 Days of Christmas in New York
Santa is coming to New York for Christmas at New York Marriott Marquis! He is also bringing his elves, reindeer and carolers to kick off 12 Days of Festive Fun! The 12 days of celebration include a Very Merry Brunch that will donate a portion of the ticket sales to Toys for Tots. Other events include cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus.
New York Marriott Marquis has 102,879 sq. ft. of event space, 46 event rooms, 40 breakout rooms and 1,971 guest rooms.
M Social Hotel Times Square
If you’re in New York for the New Year festivities, make sure you check out M Social Hotel Times Square New York. Guests will be able to see a live view of the ball drop from their 5,700-square-foot outdoor terrace. Attendees who are seeking the full New Year experience (capped at 40 guests) will have access to the open bar, an appetizer platter at your table, champagne toast at midnight, bottle service and much more!
M Social Hotel Times Square New York offers planners 903 sq. ft. of meeting space, 1,000 sq. ft. of private space, two meeting rooms and 480 guest rooms.
Mandarin Oriental, New York is partnering with The House of Creed to craft an extraordinary holiday experience. This includes a holiday display of the artisanal fragrances of The House of Creed’s newly launched scented ceramic decor and ornaments. Guests can also select the Home for the Holidays package that includes a 7.5-foot tree, sweet treats, a holiday table arrangement and a holiday-themed welcome party.
Mandarin Oriental, New York offers 7,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, eight meeting rooms and 244 guest rooms.

Gingerbread Experience in North Carolina
A fan of gingerbread? The Omni Grove Park Inn is home to the nation’s largest gingerbread competition. The luxury resort will be hosting the 31st Annual National Gingerbread House Competition that will be judged by celebrity chef, author and TV personality, Yolando Gampp; Asheville local and 2020 James Beard finalist, Ashleigh Shanti; and lead judge, Mark Seaman. Competitors have the chance to win more than $40,000 in cash and prizes.
The hotel will also highlight the 12 top finalists with The 12 Days of Gingerbread, featuring a finalist a day via its social media from Dec. 1st to 12th.
The Omni Grove Park Inn has 86,852 sq. ft. of meeting space, 50 meeting rooms and 513 guest rooms.
End of the Year Cycles in Maldives
Running from Dec. 22nd to Jan. 9th, 2024, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands will craft a memorable New Year experience that honors the sun’s annual cycle. On Christmas Eve, guests can take part in a sunset cocktail reception. Later in the day, a floating string quartet and dance performance will be held by candlelight.
On Christmas Day, junior guests will be able to attend a meet and greet with Santa Claus, followed by a magical parade. Guests can also take part in a Dim Sum brunch.
The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has 1,184 sq. ft. of meeting space, one meeting room and 100 guest rooms.

The Nutcracker in South Carolina
The Charleston Place will be hosting The Nutcracker. From Nov. 24th to New Year’s Eve, The Charleston Place will be decorated in the spirit of the famous story with oversized Nutcrackers, a 40-foot tree in the center of Market Street Circle and a holiday train that runs on a 300-foot track.

Light the Menorah in San Diego
Pendry San Diego will be hosting several events during the holiday season, including Deck the Halls, an event put on in partnership with Tipsy Elves, a popular ugly sweater company, at Nason’s Beer Hall. The event will include beer as well as three seasonal signature Tipsy Elves cocktails.
For Hanukkah, between Dec. 7 and 15, guests will be able to gather in the Pendry San Diego’s lobby for the lighting of the menorah each evening at sunset.
Pendry San Diego has 35,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space, 4 meeting rooms and 317 guest rooms.
