Danny Hughes
Hilton Hotels and Resorts promoted Hughes to executive vice president and president, Americas. He oversees the brand’s interests throughout North, Central and South America. Since 2014, he’s been the company’s senior vice president and commercial director in the Americas, leading the revenue management and sales team of more than 4,000 members. He was also previously senior vice president of Latin America and Caribbean for Hilton.
Lindsey Holmes
Visit Omaha introduced Holmes as national sales representative. She was assigned to the religious and west meetings markets. This year, she completed sales training with Master Connection Associates. Holmes previously worked as business travel sales manager for Magnolia Hotels and sales and catering assistant for Hilton Worldwide.
Jessica Weishahn
Visit Omaha hired Weishahn as sales manager to work with the small meetings market, as well as motorcoach groups and military reunions. She completed sales training with Master Connection Associates. Weishahn previously was group service manager for Magnolia Hotels.
Melanie Hegwood
Your room block and registration needs in Omaha will be handled by Hegwood, who is Visit Omaha’s new convention services and housing manager. She brings more than a decade of experience in the hotel industry to this position. Hegwood held various positions at Embassy Suites Downtown Old Market in Omaha—sales manager, group rooms coordinator and assistant front office manager.
Marc Guenther
Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea, Jordan appointed Guenther general manager. This marks Guenther’s return to the brand. He previously managed Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea in Jordan and Kempinski Hotel Indonesia Jakarta. Most recently, he was general manager of The Regency Hotel Kuwait.
Maria Daniel Espina
Trump International Beach Resort Miami in Sunny Isles, Florida welcomed Espina as director of group sales. Most recently, she was international sales manager for Mukul Beach, Golf & Spa off the coast of Nicaragua. She has also held sales management positions at The Ritz-Carlton, Viceroy and Intercontinental hotels in Miami, the Caribbean and Mexico.
Sarah Wilson
Le Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans added Sarah Wilson as assistant general manager. Most recently, she participated in Lakeway Resort & Spa’s in-house general manager in training program. She was also the Austin resort’s director of catering.
