Kiersten Walker, associate vice president for Women in Cable Telecommunications, is pursuing her master’s degree in meeting and event management at San Diego State University. Walker talks about the challenges of pursuing this degree while not only maintaining a full-time job but also while things in the industry remain so uncertain and what motivates her to keep going.
“We all know the industry will survive because it’s human nature to connect, and meeting planners are experts at providing environments in which people can do just that,” she says. While it may a while before things are back to how they were, Kiersten sees a bright future ahead.
