Pasadena Convention Center Gets the Gold

The Pasadena Convention Center has been awarded LEED-Gold Certification, and is one of only three convention centers in the U.S. to earn the Gold designation. The center’s environmental efforts includes high-efficiency lighting and equipment, a new energy-efficient central plant that doesn’t increase demand on the city’s electrical grid, water-conservation restroom fixtures and a recycling program. Its $150-million expansion project was completed in February 2009 with the designation in mind. pasadenacenter.com
